iPhone SE new

Peek, and Apple reveals..!

Wow!.. well an Apple Event never surprises, and that one certainly didn’t! ..there were many announcements there that in a past life, my hand would be out now clutching that Discover credit card!

Let’s stick the the phones tho, that’s what we’re really about. We mentioned in an earlier blog today about the rumor of a ‘green’ iPhone 13 coming out, and hey we weren’t wrong! The iPhone 13 with iOS 15, and incorporating an A15 Bionic chip, is a very impressive phone.

Tim Cook mentioned that in Fall of last year there were more new users to the iPhone 13 than there has been in any previous iPhone model. New colors ? Yup! ..iPhone 13 now comes in green, and the iPhone 13 Pro is available in alpine green.

Both phones available to pre-order on Friday, and available on March 18th.

..but the model we were all talking about.. the anticipated new iPhone SE. Well that certainly didn’t disappoint! The phone now incorporates the same Apple A15 Bionic chip, a 4.7″ retina display, and the same toughened glass on front and back as found on the iPhone 13. Using the A15 chip is incredible.. it’s the fastest smartphone chip around!

The phone has a 12MP wide camera, a better battery life due to the A15 chip, and now comes with 5G. Camera wise, the SE gets Smart HDR 4, Photographic Styles, and Deep Fusion.

Looking at the tech specs, it has a 6-core CPU, which makes it 1.8 x faster than the iPhone 8. The 4-core GPU is pretty amazing for graphics, and the 16-core neural engine, for machine learning, makes it 2.8 x faster than the iPhone 8!

Color wise, well you have the choice of Starlight, Midnight or Product RED.

The phone is available to order from Friday, for delivery on March 18th, and will be priced in the UK from £419

Now, this brings up an interesting point.. in an earlier blog post, our boss believed the price would go sub £150.. an we bet him lunch it wouldn’t!… *ehemm!* Boss… reading this? lol….

..more to follow in the next blog post about the incredible Mac Studio!
