The UK government’s new Emergency Alerts system is now live! – the system will enable people to receive an alert on a mobile phone, warning them when their lives are in possible danger from events such as severe flooding, fires, or extreme weather conditions.

The alert will come through on your mobile as a loud, siren-like sound with a message on your screen.

During the roll-out, a UK wide test will be carried out on: 

Sunday 23rd April 2023 – *update the time will be 15:00, and the alarm will last 10sec!
