Ofcom has now banned the selling of locked mobiles, tying the down to that particular Network Operator.
Essentially it makes it a lot easier for Consumers to switch providers in the quest for a better deal.
Let’s admit it, a lot of people may not even realize that their phone is tied down to a particular Network Operator. In the past the Network Operator was only obliged to unlock the device at the end of the Consumers minimum term. What a pain in the ar*e!
